UK Country artist, Lauren April features on Coronation Street!

In tonight's episode of Britain's longest running soap, Coronation Street, UK Country artist, Lauren April made an appearance in the Bistro wedding scene.

The show made history as it aired it's first ever gay wedding.

Characters Paul Foreman (portrayed by Peter Ash) and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) decided to walk down the aisle as the Paul's battle with Motor Neurone disease continues.

Lauren April could be seen and heard performing as wedding guests took their seats in the Bistro, eagerly waiting for the happy couple to tie the knot.

The young singer-songwriter performed a slowed down version of YMCA followed by Ain't No Mountain High Enough and was praised by fans following the episode airing.

Lauren April has had a busy summer playing festivals and shows all over the country.
