Ron Pope Releases Cover of Harry Styles' 'Late Night Talking'
Ron Pope, has released his version of Harry Styles’ ‘Late Night Talking’ today, September 6th.
The release comes ahead of his upcoming 13-date UK and European headline tour later this month - tickets on sale here.
The lead single ‘The Real Thing’ and its album-mates from 'Inside Voices' were all created in the wake of the experience of nearly losing his wife in 2020, infusing renewed vitality into music written about a relationship that has been explored in song for nearly two decades and ten albums.
'Inside Voices' is a collection of songs about growth, heartache, lasting love, the joys of parenthood, and living with gratitude.
It was written as Pope and his family recovered from his wife’s near death experience and recorded as he tragically lost both of his grandparents within eight days of each other.
Speaking of the record, Pope said, “My grandparents were the kind of ‘crazy in love but also practical, good partners’ that we are. They died eight days apart, right as we were working up this music. I waded through a river of darkness during that period and I damn near drowned in it, but when I came out the other side, I was so full of gratitude.”
It leads listeners on a journey through grief and ultimately, back to joy.
