News: Ashley Monroe, Darius Rucker, Carly Pearce!

Ashley Monroe has announced a new album called 'Rosegold' due April 30th! The first single from the record is available now. 'Drive' was co-written by Monroe, Niko Moon and Mikey Reaves and the video is available to watch below. The 10 track record was written and produced over the last two years, Monroe collaborated with the likes of Nathan Chapman, Ben West and Jordan Reynolds. “Every move we made was instinctive,” says Monroe, “but it was also intentional. I found myself wanting to see how drastic the change from a verse to a chorus could be, or looking for places where the beat could drop out and then give you chills when it comes back in.” We can't wait for this record to drop - it's available to pre-order now!

Darius Rucker has earned his 10th number 1 at Country radio with 'Beers and Sunshine'. The song co-written with Ross Copperman, TJ Harding and Josh Osborne over a zoom session is ahiled as an anthemic ray of sunshine in what has been a difficult year for many. “It’s certainly been a challenging year. Like a lot of people, when I got home from being on the road last March and we parked the tour bus for the foreseeable future, we had no idea what our future would actually look like,” Rucker reflects. “I don't have the answers for how we fix the complex issues that we’re facing in our country or in Country music, however while we work through this time I think it’s important that we balance the heaviness by finding the silver lining, where we can really enjoy the simple joys this song talks about like time spent together with friends and family.” Rucker is working on his nest studio album!

It was a busy new music Friday last week with Carly Pearce dropping her new record '29' - an incredibly personal record for Pearce. You can read my interview with Pearce on the homepage! There was also new music from Lainey Wilson, one of my favourite rising stars of the genre, I really love her attitude. And Loretta Lynn and Margo Price teamed up for a duet of Lynn's classic song 'One's On The Way' - check it out below!
