Monday News Round Up!

In case you missed any of the going's on today in the Country Music World, we're here to bring you all the latest in one simple post! It was a busy weekend with Rhonda Vincent becoming the latest member of the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night and Eric Church taking the Super Bowl by storm with his unique rendition of the national anthem! But that's not all we've got for you, we've got some new music to share.

Today, we recieved news that Rob Mayes has released his latest single I'll Bet. The reflective song follows his 18 track 'Didn't Do This On My Own'. The song, written solely by Mayes was produced by Smith Curry and mastered by Grammy-nominated Andrew Mendelson. The singer-songwriter and actor spoke of the song saying “I’ll Bet’ tackles our vices, with gravity and hope - reminding us to perhaps slow down, take a breath, and enjoy this life, while also being wholly accountable for ourselves, and not throwing scapegoats under the proverbial bus and deflecting responsibility and misplacing blame – ‘can only do what you can, can't do what you can't, and if you're trying your best, then that ain't the demons, it's you I'll bet..’”

Also releasing new music today was Lindsay Ell. Ell is one of the most talented singer-songwriters and guitarists that I've had the pleasure of seeing live. Her shows are mesmerising. Her new song 'Hits me' is taken from her latest record 'heart theory' which debuted in the Top 10 US Country Albums chart. Speaking of the song Ell said “‘Hits me’ is the song that started this whole record. It was the first song that I wrote and knew that I’d written something special. The first drum hit is where all the magic starts and I think that most people can relate to the feeling of shock that this song is about. Particularly now, given the circumstance we’ve collectively been living through this past year.” The visualiser for the video is available to watch below!
