The Long Road Line-up - Sunday!

The highlight for me on the Sunday, and one of the highlights of the weekend in fact is Ashley Campbell. We've spoke about her a lot on the site and interviewed her too, she may be the daughter of the legendary Glen Campbell but she is a bright shining star in her own right. Her debut album offers Country fans something fresh, Country Pop yet you can hear the classic Country influences whilst lyrically the album is littered with honesty and humour and that's before we even mention those banjo skills! Whether playing as part of a writers round or with her full band, Ashley entertains and casually keeps the audience engaged with her on stage chat.

Many people on social media who already have tickets, have tickets for this reason... Billy Bragg. He boasts a career spanning three decades in which he's released 13 studio albums, 8 compilation albums and toured the World on a number of occasions. The 2016 Trailblazer of the Year, as crowned by the Americana Music Association UK is not afraid to speak his mind and has topped the singles chart, met the Queen and even has a street named after him and talking of streets... well, he's playing The Long Road on the Interstate Stage primetime on Sunday. Sunday also gives us a chance to see some repeat performers, in case we missed them on the Friday or Saturday and they include Angaleena Presley who I highly recommend checking out and Yola Carter.

Multi-talented musician Charlie Worsham also heads to the UK for this festival. He makes the effort with the UK audience time and time again, frequently visiting and putting on a good show even if he's the opening act and his personality as well as his music leaves a lasting impression. Charlie is a multi-instrumentalist who splits his time between writing, performing his own material and performing as a session musician for other artists. He has toured with the likes of Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert in the past. Again he's someone that brings so much personality into his songs and performances.

Personally for me I am eager to see The Brummies, some of you may not know the name but would remember their songs as they supported a number of artists on UK tours under their former name John and Jacob. I saw them with Striking Matches and The shires and really enjoyed their music particularly Be My Girl which featured in the show Nashville. Now as a re-formed band I am eager to hear what they're doing live now and how much they have evolved and changed (hopefully their dress sense hasn't as I loved those classy matching suits they wore last time!). Also on the bill is UK Country duo The Shires who are on their third album now Accidentally on Purpose. They're arguably the most successful UK Country artists being the first act to go top ten on the UK mainstream charts. Their new music in particular really suits the Festival crowds with lots of potential for crowd participation and they are sure to draw a large crowd for that!
